We are made of stardust.
But our stardust does not have to fall only into one bucket.
My stardust touches not only astronomy, but also humanities.
During my doctoral degree, I focused on astronomy. After completing the degree, I decided to bring back the balance. As the waves of creativity from writing and artistic exploration surge back into my life, I breathe better, I feel the harmony, I am energized.
Even now, the pressure of competitiveness in science and pressure for accomplishments even beyond PhD, constantly try to steal the balance, and I have to give myself permission to enjoy life and not fall back into the same trap – not to suffocate. This trap has heavy chains and it can hold you tightly, you need to reach inside into your magical stardust to liberate and fly, transcending beyond the chains of norms (expectations, prescriptions, predictions), above the “boxy” thinking, into the realm of your vision, to find true you, the complete you, the powerful you.
I have dreams and aspirations beyond astronomy, and my life is not complete without all the particles of the symphony of my stardust swirls.
It’s a day, a wonderful day that I live in and I want to flow through bearing in mind that tomorrow I might not have.
If I die tomorrow, what would a good previous day look like in my choices, my actions, my contributions to the world, to my family, to my soul?
The pen yearns to write more, but I have to get back to work now, this is enough poetry. 😀
