Some application ideas or the idea itself also were inspired from my internship at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, where I worked on supporting safety and health for missions, related to radiation-related and other equipment such as radars. I was inspired by the radars which were flown on aircraft to do science.
Plus, living in Davis, California, I spotted with my husband the craft that flew over for dusting pesticide. So this was also one of the inspirations for thinking of applications to the agricultural use, etc. (Of course, I don’t have here any statements about using pesticide crop dusting as good or bad.)
