Hello Universe!!!

I am a researcher in the field of Astronomy, and just started working at IAPS/INAF (Italy) on tasks related to preparations for the MOONS extragalactic survey, an upcoming instrument with VLT (vltmoons.org), which is a postdoc position with a one-year contract.

My field of interest is evolution of galaxies, and in particular active galactic nuclei (AGN or quasars).

In my doctoral research, I contributed to the topic of the “quasar environments”. I used observations of quasar fields to assess the properties of galaxies that lived close to quasars, and then compared to currently inactive galaxy neighborhoods.

I am currently seeking a suitable postdoctoral research opportunity or a fellowship in the field of Astronomy, and if opportunity arises, a permanent position in astronomy research field, some institute duties are okay with me.

The image is from the cover image of one of my books, depicting the actual sky above the walls of a castle at dusk, in Armenia. It is in Armenia that I wondered about the cosmos for the first time as a child, looking at the beautiful (at the time not contaminated with smog) skies around our mountaneous neighborhood.
